What Programs Are Available?

UNA offers one-week to month-long opportunities each summer led by faculty. Students are able to obtain credit for one to two classes, depending on the program. These programs are hosted by various departments and are a great way to study abroad if it is your first time. Students will be with a group of other UNA students. The programs are not always the same each summer, so we cannot guarantee a trip being offered each time. This is a great way to spread course loads out and add experience for your résumé.

ISEP has 100+ programs in over 50+ countries for students to take advantage of while at UNA.UNA participates in ISEP partnership to allow students an affordable way to study abroad for a semester or a year. This option allows students to pay everything to UNA, including meals, housing, tuition, and fees. Students can use scholarships and financial aid to pay. Classes will transfer back to UNA.

A great way to gain international experience and build your résumé is through global internships. Through The Internship Group and several other programs UNA partners with, students have the chance to gain hands-on experience. Students will go through an interview and application process.

Summer programs are done directly through our partners and can sometimes offer credit to be transferred back. Many programs are focused on cultural learning, language immersion, or service learning. Some programs can be a great way to gain experience for résumés, hands-on experience in your job field, or explore other fields of learning.

UNA tries to help students who want postgraduate experience abroad. Fullbright is a great example. Although options are limited, there are many programs through the US government that help connect student students to this option.
